New PACES Policy Brief Focuses on Retaining International Students in Slovakia

The decision of international students to remain in Slovakia after completing their higher education is not merely a matter of individual preference. A key role is played by the institutional environment, which shapes the conditions that encourage graduates to stay. This is the main conclusion of a new policy brief produced within the PACES project by researchers Lucia Kováčová, Lucia Mýtna Kureková, and Terézia Zemeníková from the Slovak Academy of Sciences.

PACES Final Conference Held in Paris

The final conference of the international PACES project (Making Migration and Migration Policy Decisions Amidst Societal Transformations) took place in Paris from 4–5 June 2026. Organised by Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, the event brought together researchers from the PACES project, its sister projects ASPIRE and DYNAMIG, as well as other scholars working on migration and migration policy.

PACES Bratislava Writing Workshop (EN)

Between March 2 and March 6, 2026, the team of the Institute for Forecasting of the Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences hosted the PACES Bratislava Writing Workshop, which was attended by the members of the project consortium, particularly by researchers of the International Institute of Social Studies (Erasmus University Rotterdam), University of Alicante, Université Paris 13 (Sorbonne Paris North University), Samuel Hall East Africa Limited, Mixed Migration Centre, Mareena, Migration Policy Institute Europe.
